"Good and Convenient Hillcrest Accommodation"
04 October 2018
Lynda McMartin
"We felt well-looked after with good accommodation in our pleasant, clean and spacious comfortable executive room. Everything we needed was available there, and having breakfasts on site was a very big benefit. We were busy with relocating down to Cape Town, so we appreciated having this close-to-home temporary stay whilst our house was being packed up and cleaned. On our last morning, we had very nice cheese sandwiches as a packed lunch in lieu of the breakfast. Thank you very much Fawncastle, and also Safari, who again did an excellent job booking and arranging our stay there. We enjoyed a happy stay! From Ron and Lynda McMartin"
"Dirty and dated"

"Certainly not a 3 star establishment."
"Lacking hospitality"

"When we arrived they had only booked us down for 1 guest. The lady who booked us in was not very friendly or welcoming. Once we got our key there was no more human interaction until the lovely ladies serving us breakfast. Nothing was explained to use in terms of how to get in and out of the gate or how breakfast works in the morning. In the rooms, there was only coffee and sugar, no milk or tea. The walls are so thin you can hear when the people next door use their bathroom and there was a cold draught coming from the window."
"Dreadful customer experience"

"I should preface this by saying that I, in fact, never got to stay at this establishment at all.<div><br /></div><div>Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lady who informed me that it was 'overbooked', despite the fact that I had in fact booked (and payed) days before. I was sent down the road to Warrens Guest House, which is a star short of Fawncastle.</div><div><br /></div><div>In essence, I payed a four-star rate for three-star lodging.</div><div><br /></div><div>All this without even an explanation or a heads up from the manager, Rob.</div><div><br /></div><div>You would think that a customer who booked and payed in advance would - at the very least - be notified before arriving at the establishment that they would have to stay elsewhere; especially if that place is not the same standard of what was originally booked and payed for.</div><div><br /></div><div>Absolutely atrocious customer management.</div>"
"Entirely dissatisfied"

"Upon arriving at fawncastle estate, we were told booking was made for us at White House guest house a few streets across the road. No reason was provided as to why do we have to sleep at another guest house. White House guest house was below the standard. The decor, the bedding, the awful smell in the room as well as unclean bathroom.<div>I'm not happy with Fawncastle at all for the awful experience I had in Kzn.</div>"
